2009 Lake Burley Griffin Racewalking Championship The 43rd Lake Burley Griffin Racewalking Carnival was another highly successful event with some great performances all round. Congratulations to Jared Tallent who broke his race record for the 20 mile event in walking 2:14:57 - a truly world class performance. A sensational performance from Jess Rothwell, also, in winning the 10 mile event in 1:14:33, only 24 seconds outside the course record held by the great Kerry Junna Saxby. Full results are on the Racewalking Australia site. Doug Fitzgerald's photos from the presentation night can also be viewed.

Congratulations to Mark Worrall on his election as Club President, and Phil Reading on moving up to Vice President.
